Brain Therapy

Brain Therapy was developed by Dr.Bruno Chikly, MD, DO and allows a gentle, and non-invasive approach to working with restrictions within the brain and the whole body nervous system. Visit our Blog and read a great article about Brain Therapy.

“The Brain Therapy Curriculum is an advanced-level course that takes us to the next realm of manual therapy. It explores the brain, spinal cord, white matter, grey matter, and also in this level brain nuclei such as corpus callosum, septum pellucidum, indusium griseum, fornix, thalamus, globus pallidus, amygdala, hippocampus, brainstem, cerebellum, etc.
The body often aligns itself around these precise structures, and they are frequently unaddressed key/dominant tissue restrictions.

The techniques presented can probably help most, but it can specifically help pathologies such as closed-head injuries, whiplash, headaches, dyslexia, cerebral palsy, cognitive behavioral dysfunctions, learning disabilities, ADD/ADHD, and Parkinson’s and Alzheimer’s disease. Therapists learn specific techniques to release brain-centered restrictions as well as the damaging effects that these restrictions cause.

Brain1 is an advanced class that use a slightly different paradigm by working extensively with the brain parenchyma, grey and white matter, cranial and spinal structures, rather than mainly concentrating on the cranial bones and membranes.

This work requires perceptual skills to be able to address tissue microstructures, and we will have specific.”

Brain Reflex Therapy

A natural, non-invasive therapy to help allow natural integration of brain reflexes.

Many children and adults have neurological disorders, learning disabilities or cognitive challenges. It has been found that those being tested have often retained reflexes or may have reoccurring neonatal / primary reflexes.

These reflexes should have been inhibited earlier in life. Children can keep their primary reflexes for longer than necessary for optimal development.

Neonatal reflex inhibition allows for more sophisticated neurological structures to develop and remain prevalent.

Adults can see the reoccurrence of these neonatal / developmental reflexes in many pathologies, including trauma, whiplash, PTSD, Parkinson’s, stroke, dementia, etc.

Retained and reoccurring reflexes can create numerous neurological dysfunctions, learning disabilities and sensory integration dysfunctions.

In children, these primary reflexes can be found in learning disabilities, processing disorders / sensory integration dysfunctions, trauma, PTSD, cerebral palsy, ADD/ ADHD, problems with focus and concentration, vestibular integration issues, balance issues, poor postural control, social skills issues, dyslexia, dyscalculia, dysgraphia, dyspraxia / developmental coordination disorders, speech development disorders, speech language delays, auditory and visual processing, autism spectrum disorders, Down syndrome (trisomy), etc.

There are approximately 28 neonatal reflexes present at birth. All of these reflexes and few permanent reflexes (lifelong reflexes), including Fear Paralysis Reflex (FPR), Moro Reflex, Tendon Guard Reflex (TGR), Palmar Reflex, Tonic Labyrinthine Reflex (TLR) forward and backward, Symmetrical Tonic Neck Reflex (STNR), Asymmetrical Tonic Neck Reflex (ATNR),  Spinal Galant Reflex, Pereze / Pulgar Marx Reflex / Vollmer Reflexes, Babkin Palmo-Mental Reflex, Hand Pulling Reflex, Crossed extension Reflex, Babinski Reflex, Landau Reflex, Amphibian Reflex, Parachute Reflex, Rooting Reflex, will be assessed and reviewed during your session.

Access Bars

Access Bars is a gentle hands-on modality that was introduced by Gary Douglas in the early 1990s. It consists of 16 bars of energy that run through and around your head. These bars connect at specific “bars-points” and correlate to different areas and aspects of life. During an Access Bars session, a practitioner gently touches these points to release the electromagnetic charge of all thoughts, ideas, attitudes, decisions, and beliefs that may have limited you in the concerned life areas.

Today Access Bars is practiced in over 170 countries world wide, used as a potent and pragmatic tool by families, schools, businesses, athletes, prison wards, psychologists, artists and many more.

How does it work?

Imagine if someone could press a button and mute that voice in your head that tells you that you’re not good enough or that you can’t accomplish what you dream about? Any limitations that you create in your life are connected to your thoughts, ideas, attitudes, decisions, and beliefs about it. Lightly touch the bars-points and you begin to clear away what’s locked up that keeps you from believing you can have the life you’ve always known is possible.

One of the life-changing components that happens naturally with each Access Bars session is the element of receiving. How often do we just let go, lower our barriers, and allow another person to truly gift us? Learning to receive is a key to inviting more of what you’re asking for into your life. Access Bars facilitates receiving, different than any other modality in this reality.

What is a session like?

Everyone is different so there is no “normal” Access Bars session. Each session will be different, every time, even if you repeat with the same person.

What is most often reported is that there is a sense of complete relaxation. Many people go to sleep – even in a very noisy environment. Some people have images come to them, others feel sensations in their bodies such as buzzing, tingling, warmth, twitches or shivers.

There is no right or wrong way and the best way to find out what Access Bars will be like for you is to try it for yourself!
