Pre and Post-Natal Massage Therapy

Prenatal Massage Therapy is essential to maintaining overall health, muscle tone and minimizing stress.  The many changes that occur to every woman’s body during pregnancy create a lot of tension to postural muscles and lead to severe muscular imbalances.   There are many techniques and modalities that help relieve issues that arise during the 9 months of gestation.  From using combinations of Massage Therapy swedish techniques, Lymphatic Drainage Therapy, Craniosacral Therapy as well as Myofascial Release, most prenatal symptoms can be relieved during even just one session.  It is ideal to plan for a series of sessions throughout the entire pregnancy, as well as in the postpartum period.

Post-Natal Massage Therapy helps re-balance and allow for a new mother to reconnect back with her body and find moments of peace within herself.  There are accommodations with Massage Therapy made in the first 6-8 weeks after childbirth, and it is important that sessions are performed by a skilled therapist.
